Description

About BitLoop

BitLoop Technologies is a Singapore IT company building a managed IT services practice for SMEs. We are a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider, Google Cloud Partner and Bitdefender partner, with accounts at leading IT distributors. We provide managed IT support, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, cybersecurity, and IT hardware and projects.

The role

We are hiring a Business Development Executive to win our first clients and grow our managed IT services business. The core of the role is business development and working with our suppliers to put together competitive quotations. You will own the pipeline from first contact to signed contract, source pricing from distributors and vendors, and work with our IT support lead, who handles technical scoping and specifications. You will be expected to work independently to generate, qualify and win your own business. No leads lists or contacts will be provided. As a small, early-stage team, you will also provide basic first-line support to our clients. Commission is a significant part of pay, and strong performers will have room to grow with the business.

Responsibilities

Business development (core)

  • Independently generate and qualify your own leads among Singapore SMEs through outreach, networking, referrals and partners
  • Build and manage a pipeline of prospects and keep CRM records up to date
  • Meet prospective clients, understand their IT needs and present our managed IT plans
  • Negotiate and close contracts for managed services, licensing, hardware and projects
  • Build relationships with referral partners such as accounting firms, office fit-out firms and co-working operators
  • Grow existing accounts through upgrades and additional services
  • Help develop sales materials, case studies and marketing campaigns
  • Report regularly on pipeline, forecasts and results

Supplier liaison and quotations (core)

  • Liaise with distributors, vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing and quotes for hardware, software, licensing and services
  • Compare supplier options on price, availability, lead time and warranty, and negotiate better pricing where possible
  • Prepare client quotations and proposals, working with our IT support lead on technical specifications and with management on margins
  • Follow up on orders, stock availability and deliveries with suppliers until goods reach the client
  • Build and maintain supplier relationships, contacts and up-to-date price references

Client support (secondary)

  • Act as a first point of contact for client requests by phone, email and chat, and log and prioritise support tickets
  • Handle basic first-line tasks such as password resets, new user setup in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, and simple email, printer and device issues, following our SOPs
  • Escalate technical issues to our IT support lead and keep clients updated
  • Help with client onboarding, equipment deliveries and basic on-site setup

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years in B2B sales or business development, ideally selling IT services, software, telecoms or other business services to SMEs
  • Must be familiar with the Singapore managed IT services market: typical service offerings (managed support plans, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, cybersecurity, backup, hardware and projects), how they are packaged and priced, and common industry practices such as service level agreements, per-user and per-device pricing, contract terms and SME digitalisation grants
  • Experience working with suppliers or distributors to obtain quotes, compare pricing and prepare client quotations
  • Proven ability to work independently to generate, qualify and close your own leads without a leads list or provided contacts
  • Comfortable with a commission-driven role and regular face-to-face client meetings
  • Comfortable with technology and able to handle basic IT troubleshooting. Training on our tools and procedures will be provided
  • Good with numbers and detail: accurate pricing, margins and quotation paperwork
  • Confident communicator with clear written and spoken English
  • Organised, self-motivated and able to work independently in an early-stage business

Good to have

  • Direct experience selling managed IT services or other recurring IT contracts in Singapore
  • Existing relationships with Singapore IT distributors and vendors
  • Existing network among Singapore SMEs
  • Prior helpdesk, IT support or customer service experience
  • Experience with CRM, quoting or ticketing tools (e.g. HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce, Xero, Freshdesk)

Pay and terms

  • Basic salary S$3,000 to S$4,000 per month plus CPF, depending on experience
  • Uncapped commission on new business: a percentage of first-year contract value on managed services contracts, and a share of gross profit on hardware, licensing and project sales. The full commission plan will be shared at interview
  • Full-time, permanent position with 3-month probation (extendable)
  • Hybrid: remote work plus a minimum of 1 day per week at our Cecil Street office, plus client meetings and visits across Singapore. Our remote work policy is subject to change, and this role may move to fully in-person work in the future
  • Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm
  • This is a full-time commitment. Concurrent employment or outside sales or agency work is not permitted

Eligibility and how to apply

  • This role is open to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents only. We do not sponsor work passes
  • Applications from foreign candidates and foreign companies will not be considered
  • Only applications submitted through MyCareersFuture will be considered. Please do not contact us directly by email, phone or WhatsApp
