Business Development Executive
The Role
As a member of Mitsubishi Electric Asia Pte Ltd's Defense & Space Systems Department, you will drive the growth of Mitsubishi Electric's Space & Defense business across the Asia-Pacific region. Working closely with Mitsubishi Electric headquarters in Japan, regional partners, government agencies, and industry stakeholders, you will identify strategic business opportunities, build partnerships, and support the promotion of advanced defense and space technologies, including satellite communication systems, surveillance radars, and electronic warfare solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research and analyze trends in the Space & Defense industry across the Asia-Pacific region.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities aligned with Mitsubishi Electric's global strategy.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, government agencies, industry partners, and regional sales representatives.
- Facilitate strategic partnerships and co-development initiatives.
- Promote Mitsubishi Electric's portfolio of space and defense solutions.
- Monitor geopolitical developments, regulatory requirements, and defense market trends.
- Collaborate closely with Mitsubishi Electric headquarters and factories in Japan to support business development activities.
- Travel within the Asia-Pacific region to engage customers, partners, and stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience in satellite communication systems or the defense, aerospace, or related manufacturing industry.
- Experience working with Japanese engineers or stakeholders, with proficiency in both English and Japanese.
- Strong understanding of the Space & Defense industry and regional geopolitical landscape.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Strategic mindset with strong business development and relationship-building capabilities.
- Willingness to travel regularly within the Asia-Pacific region.
