Business Development Executive - Retail (Penang/Johor/East Cost/East Malaysia))

Key responsibilities:

• Identify, research, and develop new business opportunities and potential clients within target markets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and strategic partners.
• Prepare and deliver compelling business proposals and pitches to prospective clients.
• Conduct market analysis and competitor research to identify emerging opportunities and market trends.
• Negotiate and close business deals to achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful client onboarding and project delivery.
• Monitor and report on business development activities, pipeline progress, and sales metrics.
• Attend industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to generate leads and build professional networks.
• Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with company objectives.

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience in building material business development, sales, or a related field within the aforementioned services sector.
• Strong knowledge in building and construction material is required.
• Demonstrated and proven track record of successfully identifying and securing new business opportunities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
• Excellent negotiation and closing skills with a results-driven mindset.
• Proficiency in market research and competitive analysis.
  Self-motivated and ambitious with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools
• Bachelor's degree in business, commerce, engineering, marketing or a related discipline.
• Willingness to travel within Malaysia as required.
• Preferred: Experience in the manufacturing and construction sector industry.
