Business Development & Growth Analyst

Discussion

TURN INSIGHT INTO GROWTH. HELP WRITE OUR NEXT CHAPTER.

Since 1833, Cooper Machinery Services has been the OEM behind legendary product lines — Cooper-Bessemer™, Ajax™, Superior™, Gemini, and more — serving more than 22,000 units in our global installed base. Growing that legacy takes more than instinct; it takes sharp analysis, market insight, and the ability to turn data into a plan the whole business can act on. As our Business Development & Growth Analyst, you'll be the person connecting the dots — studying market trends, sizing up the competitive landscape, and partnering with Sales, Operations, and Marketing to find our next opportunity for growth.

This is a great fit for someone who's as comfortable building a MEKKO chart as they are presenting it to a room full of stakeholders — someone who wants their analysis to directly shape strategy, not just sit in a report.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Conduct data-driven market analysis — including MEKKO charts — to spot growth opportunities, gauge our competitive position, and anticipate challenges
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and the regional team to sharpen and enrich market analysis
  • Act as a strategic partner to the sales team, sharing market insights that sharpen targeting and approach
  • Use our CRM to run monthly performance reviews of account managers against their KPIs, helping the Sales Manager close gaps
  • Dive into sales and operational data — with a focus on the East region — and produce comprehensive month-end reports
  • Inform forecast development through in-depth data analysis, supporting proactive planning for future growth
  • Design and deliver presentations for prospective and existing clients
  • Build and nurture client relationships that drive acquisition, retention, and sales growth
  • Contribute to refining business processes and policies that improve sales and operational efficiency
WHO YOU ARE
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in business development, strategy, or a similar analytical role
  • Proficient with MEKKO charts and other analytical tools
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • A track record of building business relationships and collaborating across teams
  • A strategic thinker who can translate market insight into a clear, actionable plan
  • A confident communicator who can present findings clearly to stakeholders at every level
  • Organized and adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • MBA
  • Experience in upstream Oil & Gas or a related industrial sector
  • Proficiency with CRM Dynamics 365, SAP, and the MS Office suite
WHY JOIN US
  • Most benefits are effective your first day — no waiting period
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Company-paid life, AD&D, short-term, and long-term disability coverage (6-month short-term disability waiting period)
  • Voluntary life, AD&D, and long-term disability buy-up plans
  • Voluntary accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity insurance plans
  • 401(k) with up to 5% company match — you're 100% vested on Day 1
  • Maternity and parental leave, Arc Fertility Benefits, and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for mental health support
