Business Development Manager
Lead business development and marketing initiatives for a market-leading Capital Markets & Finance practice within a global law firm. Partner with senior stakeholders to drive client growth, strengthen market profile, and deliver strategic pitches, campaigns, thought leadership, and key account initiatives across international markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development and go-to-market strategies for the Capital Markets & Finance practice.
- Lead high-value pitches, proposals, panel appointments, and client opportunities.
- Drive marketing campaigns, thought leadership, events, and client engagement initiatives.
- Manage legal directory and award submissions to enhance market profile.
- Build strong relationships with partners and cross-functional global teams.
- Analyse market trends, client opportunities, and BD performance using CRM tools.
- Coach and mentor colleagues while promoting best practice across the BD function.
- Leverage AI and digital tools to improve business development efficiency and insight.
Requirements
- 5+ years' business development or marketing experience within a global professional services environment, ideally legal.
- Proven expertise in pitches, client development, marketing campaigns, and thought leadership.
- Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
- Commercial mindset with experience using CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce) and Microsoft Office.
- Degree educated with excellent project management, coaching, and analytical skills.
