Our partner firm, RRBB based in Somerset, NJ is hiring!

We’re seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to spearhead growth initiatives for our accounting firm. In this role, you'll lead business development strategy, nurture client relationships, drive new client acquisition, and collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions for both new and existing clients. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and experience in professional sales services, ideally within accounting or finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales and business development strategies to drive firm growth.

  • Identify new market opportunities, prospective clients, and industry partnerships.

  • Cultivate trust and relationships with C-level executives, decision-makers, and referral sources.

  • Collaborate with leadership and service teams to design tailored offerings that meet client needs.

  • Manage the full business development lifecycle: prospecting → proposals → negotiations → close.

  • Provide accurate forecasting and reporting on pipeline activities and revenue outcomes.

  • Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.

  • Contribute to firm-wide growth planning and strategy initiatives.

  • Drive ecosystem development by cultivating sustainable referral networks that consistently deliver measurable business growth.

  • Leverage established relationships across private equity, venture capital, and banking communities to expand strategic opportunities and partnerships.

  • Design and optimize CRM strategy, using HubSpot (preferred) or comparable platforms, to create data-driven dashboards, streamline workflows, and enhance pipeline visibility.

  • Lead pricing strategy and innovation in professional services, applying forward-thinking models to maximize profitability and market competitiveness.

  • Champion adoption of modern, tech-enabled solutions to strengthen business development, enhance client engagement, and scale firm-wide impact.

  • Operate as a strategic partner to leadership, fostering collaboration, sourcing opportunities creatively, and advancing the firm’s long-term growth agenda.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA or professional certification preferred).

  • 5-7+ years of experience in business development, ideally in accounting, finance, or professional services.

  • Demonstrated track record of revenue growth and quota achievement.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Strategic thinker with a consultative approach and strong financial/business acumen.

  • Existing network within corporate finance, CFOs, or mid-market businesses is a plus.

  • Ability to work both independently and cross-functionally.
