Position Summary

The Business Development Manager is responsible for securing new accounts and driving the expansion of our installed base within healthcare, laboratory, and life science markets. Unlike traditional sales roles, this position focuses exclusively on new business acquisition—identifying, engaging, and closing opportunities with organizations that have not yet adopted our monitoring solutions.

This individual will leverage strategic thinking, strong relationship-building skills, and experience navigating Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) and Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs) to deliver measurable growth. The role reports directly to the General Manager and is ideal for a self-motivated, results-oriented professional with deep knowledge of hospital and laboratory sales environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a targeted strategy for acquiring new hospital, laboratory, and healthcare system customers.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities through networking, industry events, outreach campaigns, and referrals.
  • Lead all stages of the sales cycle—from discovery and needs analysis through proposal development, negotiation, and close.
  • Establish and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders within GPOs and IDNs to drive purchasing access and preferred-vendor positioning.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity tracking and forecasting within CRM systems.
  • Analyze competitive activity and emerging trends to inform business strategy and market targeting.
  • Represent the company professionally at trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings.
  • Provide regular progress reports to the General Manager, including pipeline metrics and key performance insights.
