Business Development Manager (Data Center Infrastructure)

Location: Singapore | Regional Scope (SEA/APAC)

An international manufacturer of electrical power distribution solutions is expanding its presence within the fast-growing data center market and is seeking a commercially minded Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth across Singapore and the wider region.

This is not a traditional sales role. We are looking for someone who understands the data center ecosystem, can identify opportunities early in the project lifecycle, build industry relationships, and help shape market strategy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute market growth strategies within the data center sector.
• Identify upcoming projects and monitor market activity across Singapore and Southeast Asia.
• Build relationships with developers, hyperscalers, colocation operators, consultants, EPCs, and key industry stakeholders.
• Engage consultants and end-users early to support product specification and market adoption.
• Gather competitive intelligence, customer insights, and industry trends to support business planning.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking activities.
• Collaborate closely with regional leadership, engineering, and commercial teams to support business growth.

Requirements

• Experience in business development, strategic accounts, market development, or industry engagement.
• Strong understanding of the data center market and project lifecycle.
• Established network across consultants, developers, contractors, operators, or technology vendors.
• Background in electrical infrastructure, critical power, power distribution, switchgear, busduct/busway systems, UPS, or related solutions is highly advantageous.
• Ability to engage senior stakeholders and influence opportunities early in the project cycle.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build and develop new markets.
