Business Development Manager
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development and Revenue Growth
· Develop and execute territory, industry and account plans aligned with annual revenue and gross-margin objectives.
· Identify, qualify and pursue opportunities across Singapore and the wider ASEAN market.
· Build a healthy, well-governed pipeline through targeted prospecting, referrals, networking, alliance partners and existing-client expansion.
· Own the full sales lifecycle from account research, discovery and qualification through proposal, negotiation, closure and handover.
· Maintain accurate opportunity records, forecasts, next actions, risks and commercial assumptions.
2. Strategic Account Management
· Serve as the primary commercial contact for assigned accounts and build trusted-adviser relationships with C-suite, IT and business leaders.
· Understand each client’s strategy, operating model, technology landscape, priorities, constraints and buying process.
· Conduct regular account reviews, track satisfaction and proactively address commercial or delivery concerns.
· Create account-development plans that improve retention, wallet share and long-term customer value.
· Coordinate executive engagement, customer references and partner involvement where appropriate.
3. Consultative Solution Selling
· Lead discovery conversations that connect customer pain points to measurable business and technology outcomes.
· Collaborate with Pre-Sales, Bid Management, Delivery, Technical Architects, AI specialists, Finance, Legal and partners.
· Develop compelling presentations, proposals, statements of work, commercial models and RFP/RFQ responses.
· Position the value, differentiation, risk controls, transition approach, service levels and expected outcomes of each solution.
· Facilitate customer workshops, solution reviews, product demonstrations and executive presentations.
Required Experience and Qualifications
· 5–7+ years of successful sales experience in IT services, system integration or technology consulting.
· At least 3 years of hands-on sales experience in managed services, infrastructure services or IT outsourcing.
· Demonstrated success in new-logo acquisition, strategic account growth and achievement of revenue or gross-margin targets.
· Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder and solution-led sales cycles.
· Relevant customer exposure in one or more target industries: Banking and Financial Services, Manufacturing, Oil and Gas, or Public Sector.
· Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing or a related discipline.
· Good understanding of infrastructure, cloud, networking, cyber security, IT service management, digital transformation, AI and automation concepts.
· Working knowledge of commercial models such as managed services, fixed-price projects, time and materials, subscriptions and staff augmentation.
