Business Development Manager, Kitchen & Bath

Base Salary: $90,000 - $100,000

On-Target Earnings: $120,000 - $130,000

**This is a base plus bonus/commission role designed for high performers. While the base provides stability, total earnings depend on achieving individual role-based KPIs, including but not limited to New Member Recruitment, Member Candidate Pipeline, and Member Engagement.

Job Summary:

The Kitchen & Bath Business Development Manager drives membership growth and market expansion for FEI Group’s Kitchen & Bath Alliance (K&BA) and Kitchen & Bath Experts (KBx) communities. The role is responsible for identifying, engaging, and converting qualified dealers and distributors into FEI Group members while strengthening relationships with existing members and industry partners.

This role independently manages a national recruitment strategy, builds a sustainable membership pipeline, and consults with prospective and existing members to demonstrate how FEI Group programs, resources, partnerships, and data-driven solutions improve business performance. The position partners closely with internal teams, advisory boards, supply partners, and members to execute growth initiatives aligned with FEI Group’s strategic objectives.

Success in this role requires strong business development expertise, industry knowledge, consultative selling capability, and the ability to translate member needs into scalable solutions that increase engagement, retention, purchasing opportunities, and overall network value.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops and executes territory-based recruitment strategies to expand K&BA and KBx membership within targeted markets
  • Identifies, qualifies, and engages prospective dealers, distributors, and industry partners through research, networking, referrals, events, and market intelligence
  • Manages a structured recruitment pipeline, tracking opportunities, conversion activities, forecasts, and progress against membership growth goals
  • Leads consultative sales conversations that demonstrate the business value of FEI Group membership programs, resources, and supply partnerships
  • Builds and maintains productive relationships with existing members to support retention, engagement, and purchasing growth
  • Collaborates with internal teams, advisory councils, and supply partners to execute growth initiatives and deliver member value
  • Analyzes membership data, market trends, and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities and refine recruitment strategies
  • Represents FEI Group at industry events, trade shows, and regional meetings to build visibility and cultivate prospective member relationships
  • Applies scalable systems thinking by developing repeatable approaches that support sustainable membership growth
  • Participates in company meetings, strategic initiatives, and cross-functional projects as assigned
  • Travels regularly within assigned territory to meet with prospective and existing members, conduct site visits, and build in-person relationships
  • Conducts member supply audits and develops strategies to increase member purchasing through FEI Group Supply Partners
  • Leads implementation of web development, digital marketing, and data intelligence programs for KB members
  • Develops and executes a tiered membership dues program for the KB membership
  • Onboards new members and ensures they successfully adopt and maximize the full range of FEI Group resources and benefits

  • Collaboration & Business Partnership: Works effectively across Sales, Operations, Marketing, Membership, and leadership teams to achieve shared organizational objectives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of successful business development, outside sales, account management, or membership growth experience
  • Demonstrated success managing sales pipelines, developing customer relationships, and achieving measurable growth objectives
  • Experience conducting consultative sales discussions with business owners, executives, or organizational leaders
  • Experience using CRM systems, sales reporting tools, and customer relationship management processes
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a geographically dispersed territory requiring approximately 50% travel
  • Experience developing partnerships and influencing stakeholders across multiple organizations or business functions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, organizational development, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered
  • National or multi-state sales experience
  • Experience in the kitchen and bath, flooring, cabinetry, decorative plumbing, building products, remodeling, or home services industries
  • Experience selling membership-based programs, dealer networks, buying groups, associations, or business services
  • Experience working with independent business owners or entrepreneur-led organizations
  • Experience analyzing purchasing data, membership metrics, or business performance indicators
  • Experience supporting digital marketing, technology adoption, or business improvement programs
  • Professional sales training, business development certification, or related industry credentials

Work Environment:

Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas. While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all components of the workstation and other office equipment. Frequent typing, writing, bending, and twisting. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.

General office environment with moderate noise. This position is mostly sedentary, involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. A busy environment with many unscheduled interruptions. Frequent computer use at workstation for extended periods of time. Public contact position requiring appropriate business apparel.
