Role Overview** SkyTails is on a mission to revolutionize how pet parents save and invest for pets. As our Business Development Manager, you will be the primary architect of our partner network. Your goal is to identify, pitch, and onboard key partners—ranging from local animal shelters and national rescues to veterinary groups and pet-tech providers—to create a seamless value loop for our users.
Key Responsibilities
- Shelter Network Expansion: Identify and secure long-term partnerships with animal welfare organizations, positioning SkyTails as a key partner for sustainable, recurring funding support.
- Strategic Partnerships: Negotiate and close distribution and perk agreements with pet service providers (veterinary clinics, groomers, trainers) to deliver exclusive value to SkyTails account holders.
- The "SkyTails Pitch": Masterfully articulate how our AI-driven investment platform benefits both the individual pet parent and the broader animal welfare ecosystem.
- Ecosystem Integration: Collaborate closely with the Product & Tech teams to ensure partner perks and integrations are seamlessly embedded into the user experience, driving user acquisition and retention.
- Market Advocacy: Represent SkyTails at key industry conferences, animal welfare events, and fintech summits to build brand authority and expand executive networks.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, strategic partnerships, or account management (fintech, SaaS, or pet-tech experience preferred).
- Proven track record of pipeline generation, contract negotiation, and closing external partnerships.
- Exceptional pitch presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in an early-stage, fast-paced environment.
