consulting services across Australia. With operations and facilities spanning
multiple states, they have developed a strong reputation for delivering
high-quality services across a range of industries including aviation, defense,
manufacturing, mining, oil and gas, utilities, legal, insurance and loss
assessing. Due to continued business growth, they are now seeking an
experienced Business Development Manager to join their
Perth-based team.
The
Position...
Reporting
to the National Business Manager, the Business Development Manager
will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities
in the areas of Engineering Consulting, Condition Monitoring and Training. You
will undertake business development activities to increase company revenue and
to build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
Specific
role responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Identifying new business leads
from a variety of market sectors, including legal, mining, oil & gas,
government, defense, loss assessors & manufacturing.
- Assist the National Business
Manager to develop sales strategies and business plans to increase market
share.
- Monitor and identify suitable
tender or request for quote (RFQ) opportunities.
- Preparing, responding to and
presenting of tender or RFQ information in conjunction with technical
experts and/or department Manager.
- Secure business from new and
existing clients to ensure continued company growth.
- Attend and present at national
exhibitions and conferences.
- Undertake commercial
negotiations.
- Preparation of quotes in
conjunction with technical experts.
- Regular attendance at relevant
local networking events.
- Encourage high-performance
sales and service culture through role modelling and collaboration with
department technical experts.
The Ideal Candidate…
The ideal
candidate must have the following:
- At least 3 years’
experience in a B2B technical service sales role.
- Undergraduate or
Postgraduate degree in marketing, business administration or related field (Desirable)
- Undergraduate
degree in Engineering or technical related field (Desirable).
- Demonstrated
ability to increase revenue in a technical service sales role.
- Strong service
sales skills, from prospecting to closing out sales skills.
- Ability to
generate and maintain a robust sales pipeline at all times.
- Proven experience
at developing and nurturing long-term client relationships.
- Extensive
experience in preparing client proposals and quotes.
- Experience in
responding to Tenders/RFQs.
- Be proficient in
the use of MS Office software and cloud-based CRM applications.
- Be personable and
have well-developed communication skills (both oral and written).
- Commercial
negotiation experience.
- Willing and able
to travel locally and interstate for conferences and exhibitions.
- Have a positive
can-do attitude, a strong work ethic, and enjoy collaborating with professional
peers.
- Have own car and
current driver’s license.
- Must have
Australian working rights.
