Business Development Manager - Safety Training Sales

  • Your Tasks:

    The Business Development Manager (BDM) for Industrial Safety Trainings will be responsible for driving sales, client acquisition, and strategic market expansion for TÜV SÜD’s Industrial Safety, Health & Environment, Fire Safety, Process Safety, LOTO, Electrical Safety, and EHS Management training portfolio. The role will strengthen our presence in North India by building partnerships with industries such as manufacturing, oil & gas, chemicals, power, EPC, logistics, infrastructure, and large industrial facilities.

    • Identify, target, and acquire new clients for industrial safety and safety related corporate training programs.
    • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets for both open house and in-house training offerings.
    • Build a strong funnel through proactive outreach, industry networking, and inside sales initiatives.
    • Promote TÜV SÜD’s specialized training solutions including Fire & Industrial Safety, Confined Space Safety, Working at Heights, Behavioral Safety, Chemical Safety, First Aid, and Industrial Safety.
    • Engage with HSE Heads, Plant Managers, L&D Managers, and Safety Directors to understand skill gaps and propose relevant training solutions.
    • Develop long-term relationships with key accounts and generate repeat business.
    • Prepare tailored proposals, commercial offers, and solution presentations based on client requirements.
    • Track industry trends, regulatory changes (Factories Act, OSHA, ISO 45001, environmental compliance), and emerging safety requirements.
    • Provide insights to the product team to develop new, relevant training programs.
    • Analyze competitor offerings and support pricing and positioning strategies.
    • Collaborate with marketing teams to organize webinars, safety awareness campaigns, and industry events.
    • Participate in industrial safety exhibitions, conclaves, and conferences to strengthen TÜV SÜD’s market visibility.
    • Contribute to marketing collaterals, case studies, and customer success stories.
    • Coordinate with training operations for scheduling, faculty alignment, logistics, and delivery planning.
    • Ensure timely documentation, CRM updates, and pipeline reporting.
    • Monitor customer feedback and support continuous improvement of programs

    Your Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Science; Diploma in Industrial Safety or MBA preferred.
    • 5–7 years of experience in sales/business development, preferably in Industrial Safety, EHS consulting, training, or related technical domains.
    • Strong understanding of industrial safety regulations, standards, and training frameworks.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to manage a large territory independently and deliver targets.
    • Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and digital communication platforms.
