Description

Business Development Manager

Schmidt Hammer Lassen is looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to join our team in Copenhagen on a full-time basis.
As our new Business Development Manager, you will play a hands-on role in shaping new opportunities for our practice in collaboration with partners, teams, and clients across markets, disciplines, and cultures.
What you will do:
  • Lead prequalification processes, coordinating materials and internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality submissions.
  • Support the formation of strong, well-aligned project teams for tenders and strategic opportunities in key markets.
  • Research clients, market trends, and relevant background information to identify new opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
  • Create engaging business-development and communications content, including award submissions, announcements, and trade-show materials.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends and developments within the studio’s practices and markets.
  • Strengthening the studios’ network and relationships with collaborators and potential clients.
  • Helping expand SHL’s reach and visibility within the industry through outreach, events and industry networks.
We are looking for someone who has:
  • A bachelor’s degree in architecture, communication, business or a related field
  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience in the architectural sector.
  • Experience supporting PQs and pitches for both public and private clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate ideas in a way that inspires confidence and engagement. Fluency in a Scandinavian language is an advantage, but not a requirement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team with multiple deadlines.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience coordinating both internally and externally.
  • A strong visual eye and confidence creating clear, high-quality presentation and communication material in Adobe Creative Suite (primarily InDesign).
