Business Development Manager
Key Responsibilities
Market Expansion: Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, industry trends, and potential strategic partners within the financial technology sector.
Lead Generation & Client Acquisition: Drive B2B sales by prospecting and acquiring new clients, such as financial institutions, merchants, or enterprise businesses.
Pitching & Presenting: Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations, product demonstrations, and business proposals tailored to solve prospective clients' pain points.
Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations, commercial structuring, and the closing of partnership or client agreements.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams to relay customer feedback and help shape future product roadmaps.
Networking: Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and trade shows to build brand awareness and establish industry relationships.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Experience: Proven track record (typically 3+ years) in business development, B2B sales, or strategic partnerships, preferably within the FinTech, SaaS, or broader financial services industry.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the FinTech ecosystem, including digital payments, lending platforms, wealthtech, or blockchain (tailor this to your company's niche).
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Negotiation Skills: Strong persuasion and closing skills with a history of hitting or exceeding revenue targets.
