Business Development Manager
Job Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities in commercial, residential, hospitality, retail, and infrastructure lighting projects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, lighting consultants, contractors, developers, interior designers, distributors, and key decision-makers.
- Promote different lighting solutions to potential customers and strengthen brand positioning in the market
- Prepare and deliver technical and commercial presentations to prospective clients, demonstrating product features, benefits, and project value.
- Generate qualified sales leads and convert opportunities into profitable business through strategic prospecting and relationship management.
- Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve sales targets, revenue growth, and market expansion.
- Collaborate with the engineering, design, and project management teams to develop lighting solutions that meet customer specifications and project requirements.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, emerging technologies, and customer requirements to identify new business opportunities.
- Maintain strong customer relationships through regular visits and proactive account management.
- Work closely with marketing to implement promotional campaigns, product launches, and customer engagement initiatives.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma, Higher NITEC, NITEC, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Building Services or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of sales or business development experience, preferably in construction or building products with minimum 3 years in lighting-related industry.
- Prior experience in lighting control systems such as DALI, KNX, DMX will be an advantage.
- Possess excellent interpersonal & communication/negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated to achieve targets in a dynamic work environment.
- Proven client relationship management skills.
