Business Development Manager
Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager of outstanding commercial distinction — a confident, polished, and relentlessly driven sales professional who has built their career selling premium products or services to high-net-worth individuals and who has the network, the presence, and the commercial intelligence to do it at the highest level. Industry background is secondary. What matters is that you know how to find the right people, build the right relationships, and close deals that others cannot. You will be selling longevity — and the right person will not just sell it well, they will believe in it.
The Longevity Institute is a pioneering, doctor-led longevity and preventive medicine clinic currently being established in Westlands, Nairobi — and one of the first dedicated institutions of its kind in East Africa. Founded on the conviction that exceptional healthcare should optimize life before illness develops rather than simply respond to it, the Institute is building a clinical environment where evidence-based preventive medicine, advanced diagnostics, and innovative regenerative therapies converge to deliver a standard of personalized care that is genuinely transformative.
The Institute's comprehensive service offering spans preventive health assessments, medical weight management, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, cryotherapy, intravenous nutrient therapy, red light therapy, body composition analysis, and fully individualised wellness and longevity programmes — all delivered by a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, therapists, and patient care specialists working in genuine collaboration.
Beyond the clinical offering, The Longevity Institute is committed to building a workplace of distinction — one where talented, ambitious professionals grow alongside an organization that values professionalism, compassion, continuous learning, and an uncompromising commitment to the patient experience. As a founding team member, you will have the rare opportunity to shape the culture, the systems, and the standard of one of Kenya's most exciting healthcare ventures from the very beginning.
We are looking for individuals who lead with excellence, embrace innovation, and are genuinely passionate about helping people live longer, healthier, and more fulfilling lives.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Build and own the practice's full commercial pipeline — from first contact to signed commitment — targeting high-net-worth individuals, senior executives, corporate decision-makers, and influential community figures who will become the practice's founding client base.
Leverage your existing network of high-net-worth contacts to generate immediate commercial traction for the practice — this role is not about building from theory, it is about activating relationships from day one.
Identify, approach, and close corporate wellness partnerships — structuring executive health programmes and premium wellness packages for companies, private banks, embassies, luxury brands, and other organisations whose people represent the Institute's ideal patient profile.
Represent the practice in the market with the authority, polish, and credibility that a premium longevity brand demands — in boardrooms, at exclusive events, at private member clubs, and in one-on-one conversations with decision-makers.
Own the practice's brand visibility and market presence — driving strategic partnerships, referral networks, and digital and social brand positioning that establish The Longevity Institute as the definitive destination for premium health optimisation in East Africa.
Develop and track a disciplined commercial pipeline with clear targets, conversion metrics, and regular reporting to the Medical Director — backing every commercial decision with data and delivering results, not activity.
Work closely with the General Manager and clinical team to ensure that every commercial commitment is operationally deliverable and that every new client is onboarded to a world-class standard.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a relevant field; an advanced degree or professional qualification is a distinct advantage.
A proven sales professional with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience selling premium products, services, or solutions — from any industry. Insurance, private banking, wealth management, luxury real estate, luxury hospitality, high-end financial products, private aviation, or any other sector where the client is high-net-worth and the deal size is significant.
A demonstrable track record of closing big-ticket deals — we are not looking for someone who manages accounts or coordinates introductions. We are looking for someone who hunts, pitches, and closes independently.
An existing and active network of high-net-worth individuals, executives, and corporate decision-makers in Nairobi — relationships that are real, current, and accessible. The ability to make calls and open doors from day one is not optional.
Exceptional personal presentation — immaculate in appearance, commanding in the room, and naturally at ease in the environments their clients occupy: private members clubs, executive offices, corporate boardrooms, and high-end social settings.
Eloquent, articulate, and persuasive — your spoken communication is a commercial weapon. You make complex things sound simple, you make aspirational things sound achievable, and you make people want to be part of what you are building.
Commercially intelligent and analytically grounded — you understand margin, pricing, deal structure, and pipeline management. You do not just charm people into buying; you build a commercial architecture that drives sustainable revenue.
Resilient, competitive, and self-motivated — you do not need external pressure to perform at your highest level. Your internal standards are higher than any target that could be set for you.
WHAT SETS YOU APART
You have sat across the table from high-net-worth clients many times, and you know exactly how to make them trust you, value your time, and commit to what you are offering.
You do not sell features. You sell outcomes, transformation, and status — and you know the difference between those three things and when to use each one.
You are the kind of person who closes deals other people think are impossible — and you do it with such ease that it looks effortless to everyone watching.
You walk into a premium room and you belong there. Not because of where you came from, but because of who you have become.
You are excited by the longevity medicine space not just as a product to sell, but as a mission you can get behind — and that conviction will be your greatest commercial asset.
