Business Development Manager
Description
Business Development Manager
Steel Portal Frame Buildings | Shipton, North Yorkshire
Salary: Competitive salary and bonus scheme, plus car allowance
The opportunity
I'm recruiting a Business Development Manager for a newly established steel portal frame buildings division, backed by an established construction and manufacturing group.
This is the first appointment into the division, so it's an opportunity to take ownership of business development, win new contracts and help establish the business in the market.
Previous experience selling steel portal frame buildings is essential. This isn't a general construction sales role, and experience in modular buildings alone will not be sufficient.
The role
Initially, you'll take responsibility for the commercial side of the business, combining new business development with the management of projects as opportunities progress.
Your responsibilities will include:
Generating new business and developing a sustainable sales pipeline.
Building relationships with contractors, developers, end users and consultants.
Managing opportunities from initial enquiry through pricing and negotiation to contract award.
Developing budgetary pricing and formal estimates.
Coordinating with design, estimating and operational teams to develop proposals and deliver projects.
Managing customer relationships, project requirements and commercial activity.
Identifying market opportunities and helping shape the future growth of the division.
Location and package
The role is based at the division's offices in Shipton, North Yorkshire. It is an office-based position, with no home-working arrangement, alongside regular UK travel for customer meetings and site visits.
Interested?
If you have direct steel portal frame buildings experience and are interested in helping establish a new division, I'd welcome a confidential conversation.
Apply with your CV or get in touch to discuss the opportunity.
