The Fox Williams Business Development & Marketing team are creative, innovative and focused on providing best in class BD&M provision to the firm. The team has evolved its provision in recent years and was recently shortlisted for the Business Services Support Team of the Year at the British Legal Awards.
The team comprises the Business Development and Sales Director, Head of Business Development & Marketing, Business Development Manager, Relationship Data Analyst, Senior Events & Marketing Executive, BD and Marketing Executive and BD & Marketing Administrator.
Business Development & Marketing
When not working on directory submissions, support the wider BD & Marketing team by:
Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate and drive the firm's legal directory submissions, leading the project management and delivery of Chambers UK submissions while helping prepare the Legal 500 process for the following submission cycle.
Working closely with partners, lawyers and the wider BD & Marketing team, you will ensure submissions are delivered to a consistently high standard, on time and in line with the firm's strategic objectives.
Alongside directories work, you will support a range of business development and marketing initiatives across the firm, including events, internal communications, marketing campaigns and profile-raising activity, providing additional resource to the team during a particularly busy period.
This role would suit someone who is highly organised, confident working with senior stakeholders and able to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities
Legal Directories (primary focus)- Project manage the firm's Chambers UK submissions from planning through to submission.
- Coordinate submission timetables, deadlines and stakeholder engagement across the firm.
- Work closely with partners and lawyers to gather information and identify suitable matters and referees.
- Draft, edit and refine submission content to ensure it is clear, compelling and aligned with directory requirements.
- Coordinate referee collection and submission processes.
- Monitor progress across all practice areas, proactively chasing outstanding information and managing deadlines.
- Ensure consistency of messaging, style and quality across all submissions.
- Work alongside the BD team to prepare the Legal 500 submission process, including planning, content gathering and project organisation.
- Maintain submission templates, precedent materials and supporting documentation to improve future efficiency.
Business Development & Marketing
When not working on directory submissions, support the wider BD & Marketing team by:
- Assisting with the planning and delivery of client events.
- Supporting firmwide communications and marketing campaigns.
- Drafting and updating marketing collateral, credentials and case studies.
- Supporting business development initiatives across practice groups and sectors.
- Updating CRM records and supporting marketing administration where required.
- Providing general project support across the BD & Marketing function.
