Business Development NDT
Job Description & Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to grow the company's NDT, inspection, and technical services business.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across the Marine, Offshore, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Construction, and Industrial sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with shipowners, ship managers, shipyards, offshore companies, EPC contractors, oil & gas companies, and industrial clients.
- Conduct market research to identify potential customers, upcoming projects, tenders, and industry opportunities.
- Generate new leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, industry events, exhibitions, and direct client engagement.
- Promote the company's range of services, including:Conventional and Advanced NDTMarine and Offshore InspectionRope Access InspectionTechnical ManpowerQA/QC ServicesNDT Training and CertificationAutomated Inspection Systems
- Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, tenders, and presentations for prospective clients.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation and client engagement through negotiation, contract award, and project handover.
- Understand customer requirements and work closely with technical teams to develop appropriate inspection and engineering solutions.
- Maintain and expand existing client accounts while actively pursuing new customers.
- Develop long-term partnerships with key accounts and increase repeat business.
- Monitor competitors, market trends, and industry developments to identify new commercial opportunities.
- Attend industry conferences, exhibitions, networking events, and client meetings to increase market visibility.
- Maintain accurate sales pipelines, forecasts, and customer information in the CRM system.
- Achieve agreed sales revenue, profitability, and business development targets.
- Collaborate with operations and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Maritime Studies, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management.
- Experience in NDT, inspection, marine, offshore, oil & gas, QA/QC, engineering services, or technical services is highly preferred.
- Strong existing network within shipowners, ship managers, shipyards, offshore, oil & gas, or industrial sectors would be advantageous.
- Good understanding of technical services and the ability to communicate technical solutions to commercial clients.
- Strong business development, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Self-motivated and commercially driven, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and business development activities.
