About the Role
We are looking for a Business Development Representative to assist our Head of Delivery Sales to support and manage the expansion and growth of our delivery robot service. You will play an integral part in Avride’s market expansion with a focus on building partnerships and driving adoption within U.S. university campuses. This role is responsible for assisting with the development and execution of go-to-market strategies, generating new business opportunities, and closing deals. An understanding of the delivery bot and autonomous mobility industry is not required but preferred.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with the development and execution of the company’s go-to-market strategy with a specific emphasis on university campuses across the U.S.
- Work with our network of higher education contacts to accelerate adoption and revenue growth.
- Partner with the Head of Delivery sales to generate new business opportunities and close deals with campus stakeholders (administrators, facilities, dining services, and student groups).
- Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with campus representatives in higher education institutions.
- Conduct market research and analysis with a focus on campus delivery and autonomous mobility solutions.
- Help to develop and deliver compelling proposals and presentations tailored to university audiences.
- Manage and expand the sales pipeline with a clear focus on the education vertical.
- Track and report on sales performance, highlighting campus-specific successes and growth opportunities.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, regulations, and innovations in campus mobility and delivery technology.
What You’ll Need
- 1–3 years of sales or business development experience, ideally selling to higher education or working for or with a campus food service provider (Aramark, Chartwells, Sodexo, or similar).
- Working knowledge of how campus dining programs operate, including meal plans, retail dining, and mobile ordering.
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Proficient with Google Workspace (especially Sheets) and Slack, and quick to learn new tools. Salesforce experience is a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree or High School degree/GED with equivalent professional experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven track record of success in meeting and exceeding goals.
- Ability to operate with confidence in ambiguous, fast-moving situations.
- Outstanding, positive attitude with passion and aptitude for working in a fast-paced and high-growth environment.
- Ability to travel 25% of the time
Nice to Have
- Existing relationships with campus dining directors or food service provider leadership.
- Experience with campus mobile ordering or POS platforms (e.g., Grubhub, Transact, CBORD).
- Familiarity with university procurement, RFPs, and multi-party contracts.
- Background in delivery robotics, autonomous mobility, or third-party delivery.
