Business Development Representative
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing team, focusing on the [Industry Segment] market across the USA and Canada.
In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing new sales opportunities and nurturing market-qualified leads into qualified sales opportunities, ultimately contributing to Fujitsu's growth and success in the [Industry Segment] market. You will act as a key bridge between marketing and sales, ensuring a seamless transition of leads and maximizing conversion rates.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Qualification & Nurturing:
- Receive and qualify market-qualified leads (MQLs) from marketing campaigns and other sources.
- Proactively engage with leads through phone, email, and other communication channels to understand their business needs and challenges.
- Nurture leads through targeted content, personalized communication, and strategic follow-up.
- Identify key decision-makers and influencers within target organizations.
- Opportunity Generation:
- Conduct thorough discovery calls to identify customer pain points and business requirements.
- Articulate the value proposition of Fujitsu's services and consulting capabilities, specifically as they relate to the [Industry Segment].
- Effectively communicate how Fujitsu can address customer challenges and achieve their business goals.
- Qualify leads based on BANT criteria (Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline).
- Schedule qualified meetings and demos for Account Executives.
- Industry Knowledge & Market Awareness:
- Develop a strong understanding of the [Industry Segment] market, including key trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Stay informed about Fujitsu's service offerings and consulting capabilities relevant to the [Industry Segment].
- Maintain a working knowledge of competitor landscape and offerings.
- Sales Process & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activities and interactions in CRM (e.g., Salesforce).
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to lead qualification and opportunity generation.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to optimize lead generation and nurturing strategies.
- Provide feedback to marketing on lead quality and campaign effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a business development, sales, or marketing role, preferably in the technology or consulting industry.
- Proven track record of successfully qualifying leads and generating sales opportunities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to understand and articulate complex business and technical concepts.
- Strong understanding of the [Industry Segment] market and its specific challenges (e.g., regulations, technology adoption, competitive landscape).
- Ability to build rapport and establish relationships with potential customers.
- Energetic, self-motivated, and results-oriented with a strong work ethic.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales and marketing tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in English is required; French language skills are an asset.
- Must be eligible to work in the USA and Canada.
