Job Summary:

We are seeking a driven, high-energy new Business Sales Representative to aggressively grow our Fire Protection’s portfolio. This role is focused on pure hunting and outbound prospecting, building new relationships, driving first-time appointments, and converting opportunities into revenue. The ideal candidate thrives on activity, embraces cold outreach, and excels at opening new doors through phone calls, LinkedIn messaging, email campaigns, networking, and in-person site visits.

This individual will represent our full line of Fire Protection and Security offerings—including inspections, monitoring, suppression, sprinkler service, fire alarm, access control, CCTV, intrusion systems, and system upgrades—while educating customers on compliance, safety, and risk reduction. Success in this role is measured by daily/weekly outbound activity, KPI targets, pipeline growth, and consistent quota attainment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive net-new revenue across fire protection and security service lines through proactive prospecting
  • Hunt aggressively within assigned territory using cold calling, door knocking, LinkedIn outreach, networking, and email campaigns
  • Generate leads, qualify prospects, and secure appointments with decision-makers
  • Present and sell full portfolio of solutions including fire alarms, sprinklers, suppression systems, monitoring, access control, CCTV/video, intrusion, inspections & testing contracts
  • Conduct on-site walkthroughs and system assessments to identify compliance, security vulnerabilities, and upgrade opportunities
  • Maintain an organized funnel and pipeline strategy to ensure consistent opportunity creation
  • Log all communication, appointments, quotes, and follow-ups inside CRM for transparency and accountability
  • Prepare and deliver proposals for inspections, maintenance, monitoring agreements, retrofits, and new system installations
  • Follow up persistently on aging quotes, open opportunities, and competitive bids until closed-won or closed-lost
  • Leverage professional networks, chamber events, trade associations, safety groups, and community relationships for lead generation
  • Build relationships with facility managers, business owners, general contractors, EHS/Safety teams, property managers, IT/security directors, and AHJs
  • Coordinate with operations, design, and engineering to scope projects and ensure seamless handoff of awarded work
  • Develop strong knowledge of code compliance (NFPA, IBC, NEC), AHJ requirements, and industry standards for both fire and security
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and technology demonstrations to stay up-to-date on evolving solutions and market needs
  • Meet and exceed established KPIs including outbound call volume, LinkedIn outreach, in-person touches, new meetings set, and proposal output
  • Hit sales quotas consistently through disciplined prospecting cadence, strong closing ability, and ongoing funnel management
  • Uphold a high level of professionalism, urgency, integrity, and consultative problem-solving in every interaction
