The Law Institute (TLI) is a professional education and training institution offering legal,compliance, governance, and professional development programmes. TLI is expanding its reach and is seeking motivated individuals to support business growth through strategic business development and partnership-building activities.

Role Overview

TLI is seeking results-driven Business Development Specialists to engage in business development activities aimed at increasing course enrolments, institutional partnerships, and revenue. This is a freelance, commission-based role with full flexibility over work schedule and methods. Success is measured purely by results delivered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities for TLI’s courses and programmes
  • Promote TLI’s offerings to individuals, institutions, organizations, and corporate clients
  • Build and maintain relationships with prospective partners, clients, and stakeholders
  • Convert leads into confirmed enrolments, contracts, or partnerships
  • Represent TLI professionally in business development engagements
  • Provide periodic updates on prospects and closed deals
  • Attend quarterly in-person meetings and check-ins with TLI management

Nature of Engagement

  • Independent contractor / freelance role
  • Flexible working arrangement – consultant determines their own schedule, tools, and approach
  • Commission-based compensation tied directly to successful conversions and outcomes
  • No fixed working hours or location requirements
  • Occasional in-person meetings (quarterly)

Reporting & Accountability

  • Reports to TLI Management
  • Expected to participate in quarterly performance reviews and planning sessions


Requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in sales, business development, marketing, or partnerships (formal or informal)
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Ability to work independently and self-motivate
  • Results-oriented mindset with a strong drive to close deals
  • Strong network within Ghana’s corporate, financial, legal, or education sectors (preferred)
  • Own laptop/smartphone and reliable internet access (if working remotely)
  • Self-motivated with entrepreneurial mindset
