Business Development Strategist
You will collaborate with leadership on business development strategy, from aligning on promising regions and verticals to identifying target companies and tailoring value propositions. You will source new potential customers, from Lightning-first entrepreneurs to existing bitcoin companies and non-bitcoin companies wanting to add Lightning support. You will support existing customers as a point of contact for technical questions and feature requests, and connect them with ecosystem participants who can help them achieve their goals. You will write compelling thought pieces to drive awareness and education around the Lightning Network, support funnel growth activities like blog posts and press releases, and build organic engagement across community platforms.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leadership on business development strategy
- Identify target companies and tailor value propositions
- Communicate how shifts in the global financial market impact Lightning Network and stablecoin adoption
- Source new potential customers
- Support existing customers with technical questions and feature requests
- Connect customers with ecosystem participants
- Write thought pieces to drive awareness and education around the Lightning Network
- Support funnel growth activities such as blog posts, press releases, and community events
- Build organic awareness and engagement across community platforms
Requirements
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a business development, strategy, financial, or other relevant role
- Attention to detail and strong writing and editing skills
- Creative thinker who can communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Eagerness to try new things and be energized by creative challenges
- Ability to work autonomously and collaborate across time zones
- Fast learner with strong ability to reach out to new audiences
- Track record of public writings regarding global financial or payments markets, ideally bitcoin, Lightning, or stablecoins
- Ability to build relationships with entrepreneurs and developers in emerging markets
- Familiarity with the Lightning community and technical understanding of bitcoin and Lightning
