Business Engagement Lead – Enterprise Data Platform
Job Description
The Business Engagement Lead is a key role in our Enterprise Data Platform team acting as the primary interface between the business stakeholders and the Enterprise Data Platform IT team, covering both Private and Liquid Market data related topics. The role ensures that business priorities and data needs are translated into coherent platform capabilities, requirements and delivery priorities. It leads and coordinates internal and external Business Analysts and establishes consistent standards for business analysis. The role partners closely with Investment Management, Operations, Risk, Finance and Technology stakeholders. A key objective is to align business demand with the strategic data-platform roadmap while promoting scalable, reusable and governed data solutions. The role combines Financial Industry domain expertise, data knowledge, stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Lead business engagement for the Enterprise Data Platform across Private and Liquid Markets;
Lead, coordinate and provide functional direction to internal and external Business Analysts, ensuring consistent quality and delivery standards;
Understand business strategy, processes and data needs and translate them into clear business, functional and data requirements;
Establish a structured demand-management and prioritization process aligned with business value and the strategic platform roadmap;
Partner with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Data Architects, Data Engineers and Technology teams throughout the delivery lifecycle;
Drive alignment and decisions across Investment Management, Operations, Risk, Finance, Performance, Reporting and Technology;
Ensure requirements address data ownership, quality, lineage, governance, controls and regulatory considerations;
Promote enterprise data products, common data models and reusable capabilities while challenging tactical or duplicated solutions;
Ensure effective business participation in solution design, validation, UAT, implementation and adoption:
Manage external BA/consulting resources, including quality assurance, knowledge transfer and development of sustainable internal capabilities.
Requirements
5+ years of working experience in a management consulting, transformation leadership and data management within financial industry;
Experience with enterprise data platforms, data transformation programmes or large-scale investment-data initiatives;
Strong business-analysis capabilities, including requirements engineering, process analysis, data analysis and stakeholder facilitation;
Good understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata, lineage and data ownership principles;
Strong leadership and analytical skills, combined with a pragmatic, outcome-oriented approach;
Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills with the ability to communicate on all levels;
Proven ability to engage senior business and technology stakeholders, resolve conflicting priorities and drive decisions;
Ability to translate complex business needs into strategic, scalable and reusable data capabilities;
Demonstrated experience leading Business Analysts and coordinating internal and external resources;
Knowledge in Asset Management and especially Private and Liquid Markets would be a plus .
