Business Engagement Manager

At Atterbury Job Corps, our Business Engagement Manager builds and sustains the partnerships that keep the Center connected to its community — working with local businesses, elected officials, and media to promote the Center's mission and celebrate student success, all while using sound judgment in every interaction.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and grow strategic business and community partnerships that showcase the Center's mission, activities, and student achievements
- Serve as the Center's liaison to state and local officials, coordinating with Workforce Investment Boards, Chambers of Commerce, One Stop/Career Centers, and Youth Councils
- Lead public relations efforts including press releases, presentations, Center tours, and acting as spokesperson when directed
- Cultivate lasting relationships with elected officials and community leaders
- Plan and host the quarterly Community Relations Council
- Create linkages within the community to expand education, employment, Career Technical Training, and Work-Based Learning opportunities for students
- Drive job development activities that connect students to real career opportunities
- Partner with the Center's Industry Council to keep training programs aligned with local workforce needs
- Oversee staff where applicable — hiring, training, and performance management
- Safeguard the confidentiality and integrity of all student data
WHAT YOU BRING
- Associate's degree (required)
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited school (preferred)
- Minimum of three years of experience in community or public relations
- Working knowledge of youth-related community agencies and issues
- Department of Labor approval required for BCL staff with supervisory responsibility
