Job Overview

We are seeking a Warehouse Manager & HR Executive to manage the daily warehouse operations and support human resources activities for our garment business in Singapore.

The successful candidate will be responsible for warehouse management, inventory control, receiving and dispatching of garments, staff supervision, manpower planning and HR administration.

This is a hands-on position. The candidate will be required to work in the warehouse and may also assist with the physical handling, picking, packing, loading, unloading and stacking of garment cartons.

The role requires the candidate to be physically fit and able to safely assist with picking, moving and stacking boxes/cartons weighing over 30 kg when required.

The candidate must also be flexible to work weekends and Singapore public holidays depending on business and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Warehouse Management

* Manage the daily operations of the garment warehouse.

* Supervise warehouse staff and allocate daily duties.

* Plan and coordinate receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatching of garments.

* Ensure all incoming and outgoing goods are properly recorded.

* Maintain an organised and efficient warehouse layout.

* Ensure garments are properly sorted according to product type, size, colour, design and quantity.

* Monitor stock movement and ensure inventory records are accurate.

* Conduct regular stock counts and physical inventory checks.

* Investigate stock discrepancies and report issues to management.

* Ensure goods are stored safely and securely.

* Coordinate loading and unloading of goods.

* Coordinate with delivery drivers, logistics companies, suppliers and customers.

* Ensure customer orders are picked and prepared accurately and on time.

2. Physical Warehouse Duties

This is a hands-on warehouse management position. The candidate may be required to personally assist the warehouse team with physical duties when necessary.

Tasks may include:

* Picking garment cartons and individual items.

* Moving cartons around the warehouse.

* Loading and unloading goods.

* Stacking and rearranging cartons.

* Preparing goods for delivery.

* Checking quantities and product specifications.

* Assisting warehouse staff during busy periods.

* Handling urgent customer orders.

* Maintaining proper housekeeping and cleanliness.

Physical Fitness Requirement:

The candidate must be physically fit and capable of safely assisting with lifting, moving, picking and stacking cartons/boxes weighing over 30 kg, where required as part of warehouse operations. Proper lifting techniques and available handling equipment must be used where applicable.

3. Staff Supervision & Manpower Management

* Supervise warehouse employees and allocate daily tasks.

* Prepare staff duty rosters and work schedules.

* Monitor staff attendance and punctuality.

* Monitor employee productivity and work performance.

* Train new warehouse employees on work procedures.

* Ensure staff follow warehouse safety and operating procedures.

* Address routine workplace issues and report serious matters to management.

* Ensure sufficient manpower is available for daily warehouse activities.

* Coordinate staff deployment during peak periods.

4. Human Resources Responsibilities

* Assist with recruitment and selection of warehouse employees.

* Conduct interviews and assist with hiring decisions.

* Coordinate onboarding of new employees.

* Maintain employee records and HR documentation.

* Monitor staff attendance, leave and working schedules.

* Maintain confidential employee information.

* Assist with employee performance reviews.

* Handle routine staff enquiries and workplace concerns.

* Assist management with disciplinary and performance-related matters.

* Coordinate employee training and development.

* Ensure employees understand and follow company policies.

* Assist with general HR administration and relevant Singapore employment requirements.

5. Inventory & Stock Control

* Maintain accurate inventory records.

* Monitor stock levels and identify low-stock items.

* Conduct regular physical stock counts.

* Investigate differences between physical stock and system records.

* Monitor damaged, defective or returned garments.

* Ensure stock is properly labelled and organised.

* Maintain proper documentation for stock movements.

* Coordinate stock transfers between locations where required.

* Prepare inventory reports for management.

6. Garment Order Fulfilment

* Receive customer orders and coordinate order preparation.

* Pick garments according to order specifications.

* Check sizes, colours, quantities and designs before dispatch.

* Pack and label orders correctly.

* Coordinate delivery schedules.

* Ensure urgent orders are prioritised.

* Report shortages, incorrect items or damaged goods before dispatch.

* Coordinate with the sales and customer service teams regarding order status.

7. Health, Safety & Warehouse Standards

* Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse.

* Ensure aisles and access areas remain clear.

* Monitor safe stacking of cartons and goods.

* Ensure employees use appropriate manual-handling practices.

* Report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment or workplace incidents.

* Ensure warehouse staff follow company safety procedures.

* Assist management in implementing improvements to warehouse safety and efficiency.

8. Administration & Reporting

* Prepare daily and monthly warehouse reports.

* Maintain records of incoming and outgoing goods.

* Prepare stock and inventory reports.

* Maintain staff attendance and manpower records.

* Manage warehouse-related documentation.

* Coordinate with management regarding operational issues.

* Maintain proper filing of delivery orders, invoices and stock documents.

* Perform other reasonable duties assigned by management.

Working Hours & Flexibility

The position is full-time and may require flexible working arrangements based on warehouse and business operations.

The successful candidate:

* May be required to work on weekends.

* May be required to work on Singapore public holidays.

* May be required to work additional hours during peak periods.

* Must be flexible to work according to warehouse operational requirements.

* May be required to work at different company locations when necessary.

* Must be willing to perform hands-on warehouse duties when required.

Requirements

* Minimum 8 years of relevant warehouse, logistics, operations or HR experience.

* Experience in the garment, apparel, textile, wholesale or trading industry will be an advantage.

* Experience supervising warehouse employees.

* Experience with inventory and stock management.

* Experience handling HR and staff administration.

* Good organisational and time-management skills.

* Good communication and interpersonal skills.

* Able to communicate effectively in English.

* Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

* Able to work independently and manage a team.

* Strong attention to detail.

* Responsible, reliable and proactive.

* Able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

* Physically fit and able to assist with manual handling of cartons/boxes weighing over 30 kg when required.
