Description

Salary: Competitive salary package

Location: Subiaco, Perth.

Work arrangement: Office-based, with some flexibility for hybrid working

The Opportunity:

Powerfleet APAC is a data-driven business operating across multiple APAC markets, bringing together Operations, Finance, Sales, Customer Success and Product to understand performance and support better decisions. Its culture centres on strong relationships, a growth mindset, teamwork, delivery, integrity and inclusion.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, this hands-on leadership role will own business intelligence and management reporting across APAC. You will consolidate operational, commercial and financial data, build a trusted view of performance, and introduce modern, AI-enabled ways to create and deliver insight. You will also lead and develop a Data Analyst while partnering with senior leaders across the business.

This is an opportunity to shape a function that is still evolving. You will establish clear KPI definitions and reporting controls, automate recurring reporting, improve dashboards and scorecards, and translate trends, risks and opportunities into recommendations that leadership can act on.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and continuously improve Powerfleet APAC's business intelligence, management reporting and performance analysis framework.
  • Deliver daily, weekly and monthly dashboards, reports and scorecards for executive and management audiences.
  • Consolidate and reconcile operational, commercial and financial data to create a consistent, trusted view of performance.
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, Sales, Customer Success and Product to define KPIs and understand performance drivers.
  • Identify trends, variances, risks and opportunities, then present clear recommendations to senior and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning and business reviews through analysis, modelling and scenario planning.
  • Advance Power BI and other reporting solutions, including the use of AI tools where they improve speed, quality or automation.
  • Set reporting definitions, controls, validation processes and documentation to strengthen data integrity and governance.
  • Lead, prioritise and review the work of the Data Analyst, providing coaching and development.
  • Support business cases, investment analysis and strategic initiatives with commercial insight and modelling.

Candidate Profile:

You combine hands-on technical capability with strong commercial judgement. You can move from SQL, data modelling and Power BI development to a leadership discussion about performance, risk or opportunity, presenting complex information in a clear and practical way.

You will bring substantial experience in business intelligence, data analytics, commercial analysis or a comparable role, together with experience leading or mentoring analysts. You are comfortable building a reporting function, working across multiple systems and maintaining a high standard of accuracy and data integrity.

Skills & Experience:

  • Hands-on SQL and data modelling experience, including combining and reconciling data from multiple systems.
  • Advanced Power BI capability, including DAX and Power Query, plus advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience building management reporting, dashboards, KPIs and performance scorecards.
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools such as Claude and Microsoft Copilot to analyse data, build reports or automate work.
  • Commercial and operational acumen, with experience supporting budgeting, forecasting or financial performance analysis.
  • Confidence presenting recommendations to senior leaders and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience leading, mentoring or supervising analysts.
  • Experience in SaaS, telematics, IoT, subscription businesses or multi-country reporting would be advantageous.
  • A relevant bachelor's degree is desirable; Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst certification (PL-300) is an advantage.

Culture & Benefits:

Powerfleet's stated values focus on people and relationships, continuous growth, collaboration, delivery, integrity and inclusion. This role offers the chance to influence how insight is built and used across APAC while working closely with leaders across operational and commercial functions.
