A business-facing BI & Insight Analyst who sits with stakeholders across the company, works out what their data questions really mean, and turns messy data into useful reports and dashboards. Core tools are SQL and Power BI, with Microsoft SQL, Synapse, or Azure SQL as a bonus.

I’m working on a brand new BI & Insight Analyst role with a business making some BIG investments into their data capability and, this one is properly business facing.
You’ll be working with teams across the business to understand their data questions, dig into what they actually need and turn that into reporting, dashboards and insights they can actually use.
You’ll know your way around SQL and be comfortable querying, joining, transforming and exploring data across different sources.
Power BI / BI reporting experience will be a big part of your toolkit too but, just as important is being able to sit with a stakeholder, understand the question behind the question and work out what the data is actually telling them.
You’ll probably enjoy this one if you like:

Experience with SQL, PowerBI, Microsoft SQL, Synapse or Azure SQL would be a lovely bonus
Basically, we don’t just need someone who can pull the data. We need someone who can make sense of it.
