Business Intelligence and Data Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Azure Data Platform Ownership
   1. Own and manage the Azure environment supporting Distribution Excellence use cases.
   2. Maintain and monitor key services (e.g., data pipelines, storage, integration components).
   3. Coordinate with IT / platform teams on access, security, and governance.
2. ETL Process Management
   1. Maintain and enhance existing ETL pipelines (data extraction, transformation, loading).
   2. Troubleshoot data pipeline failures and ensure timely resolution.
   3. Optimize data flows for performance and scalability.
   4. Ensure proper documentation of data transformations and logic.
3. SQL & Data Modeling
   1. Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries supporting reporting and analytics.
   2. Manage data models used for Power BI datasets and reporting layers.
   3. Ensure data consistency across multiple sources.
   4. Perform root cause analysis for data discrepancies.
4. Power BI Reporting & Analytics
   1. Ensure overall ownership and governance of Power BI reporting solutions.
   2. Supervise and guide the development and maintenance of dashboards.
   3. Oversee report performance optimization, usability, and scalability.
   4. Ensure proper management of dataset refreshes, data models, and workspace governance.
   5. Validate translation of business requirements into robust and scalable reporting solutions.
5. Data Governance & Quality
   1. Ensure data quality, completeness, and reliability across all reporting layers.
   2. Implement controls and validation logic within ETL and reporting processes.
   3. Support audit requirements by ensuring traceability of data sources and transformations.
   4. Define and document data definitions and KPIs.
6. Business Partnership (Distribution Excellence)
   1. Collaborate with Distribution Excellence teams to understand reporting needs.
   2. Provide actionable insights on distributor performance and risks.
   3. Support performance management processes with reliable analytics.
   4. Bridge the gap between technical data structures and business requirements.
7. Continuous Improvement
   1. Identify opportunities to automate manual processes.
   2. Improve data architecture and simplify existing solutions.
   3. Introduce best practices in data engineering and reporting.
8. Team Coordination
   1. Provide guidance and prioritization for assigned team members.
   2. Ensure continuity, knowledge sharing, and delivery reliability across reporting solutions.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or Business Intelligence roles.
• Proven hands‑on experience with Azure‑based data platforms (e.g., Data Factory, Azure SQL, or similar).
• Strong experience in designing, maintaining, and optimizing ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Experience working with end‑to‑end data flows (from source systems to reporting layer).
• Experience supporting business/reporting functions (not purely IT‑focused role).
• Experience collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating or guiding other team members is an advantage.

Primary Work Location: POL Wroclaw – Legnicka. Additional Locations: POL Warsaw – ul. Osmanska.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: zł201,600.00 – zł307,425.00 PLN Annual. Compensation and benefits are determined per role, location, and skills as part of BD’s Total Rewards program.
