Business Intelligence Database Developer

SegPay is looking for an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Database Developer to join our Operations team and help design, develop, and maintain the database and business intelligence solutions supporting our payment-processing environment.

This role combines database development, data integration, reporting, and financial transaction data. You'll work with SQL Server, ETL/ELT processes, BI tools, and cloud data platforms while collaborating with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and DevOps.

What You'll Do

• Design and maintain database schemas to support business and reporting needs
• Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT processes and data integrations
• Develop reports and dashboards using tools such as SSRS, Power BI, or Tableau
• Work with cloud data warehouse technologies such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
• Validate financial transaction data for accuracy and integrity
• Collaborate with DevOps on deployments and production support
• Participate in Agile development processes
• Monitor and improve database performance
• Troubleshoot production database and reporting issues
• Maintain appropriate data security and integrity controls
• Support documentation and PCI-related requirements

The position combines hands-on database development with BI, data integration, cloud data warehousing, and financial transaction data responsibilities.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• 3–5 years of professional database development or BI experience
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience developing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data connectors
• Experience with BI/reporting tools
• Knowledge of data warehouse or data lake concepts
• Experience working with cloud data technologies
• Experience with financial transaction or payment-processing data
• Understanding of PCI DSS requirements
• Experience working in an Agile development environment
