Business Intelligence Senior Manager/Manager, Wholesale Trade [CCP for ICT Professionals]
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Intelligence Senior Manager/Manager with a strong focus on Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to join our BI initiatives department within the wholesale trade division. This role will be instrumental in transforming complex data into actionable insights, driving strategic decision-making, and fostering a data-driven culture. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of wholesale distribution processes, analytical techniques, and practical experience in applying AI/Machine Learning (ML) solutions to solve business challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic BI & AI Leadership: Develop and execute the BI and AI strategy for the wholesale trade division, aligning with overall business objectives. Identify high-impact use cases for AI in areas such as demand forecasting, inventory optimization, supply chain management, and customer personalization.
- Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Design and perform the analysis of large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities. Translate analytical findings into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for senior leadership and operational teams.
- AI/ML Model Development & Implementation: Oversee the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML models for predictive analytics, prescriptive insights, and process automation. This includes demand forecasting, supplier risk assessment, predictive reordering, and dynamic pricing.
- Data Architecture & Governance: Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to ensure robust data infrastructure, data quality, and governance frameworks that support advanced analytics and AI initiatives. Advocate for data accuracy, consistency, security, and compliance.
- Reporting & Visualization: Develop and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using BI tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide real-time insights to stakeholders.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a team of BI analysts and data scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation in data and AI.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with various departments, including Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance, to understand their data needs and deliver tailored BI and AI solutions.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Wholesale Trade and Supply Chain Management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
- Proven experience in the wholesale trade or distribution industry is highly desirable.
- Deep knowledge in Trade Finance and Supply Chain Management is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in implementing AI/ML solutions that have driven measurable business outcomes.
Technical Skills
- SQL proficiency for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
- Expertise in BI platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense, or similar.
- Strong programming skills in Python or R, with libraries for data manipulation (e.g., Pandas), statistical modeling, and machine learning (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their Data/AI services.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices.
- AI/ML Expertise
- Understanding of various machine learning algorithms(e.g., regression, classification, clustering, time series forecasting).
- Experience with natural language processing (NLP) for order processing or customer service applications is a plus.
- Ability to evaluate and integrate off-the-shelf AI solutions relevant to wholesale operations.
Tools Required
- Data Analysis: Ability to use SQL, Power BI. Good to have SAS and Tableau.
- AI: Ability to use Claude and ChatGPT.
