Pay: $105,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Location: Columbus, OH. This is a fully on-site opportunity for an attorney who enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues and clients in person.

Note: Must have an active Ohio Bar license in good standing and 3+ years of directly relevant business, transactional, corporate, or commercial law experience.

Job Description

  • Advise businesses, business owners, and other clients on corporate, commercial, contractual, and general business matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of business and commercial agreements.
  • Assist with business formations, organizational matters, entity structuring, and corporate governance.
  • Support mergers and acquisitions, business sales, and other corporate and transactional matters.
  • Prepare corporate resolutions, consents, agreements, and related transactional documents.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda, correspondence, and other written work product.
  • Perform due diligence and assist with transaction closings and post-closing matters.
  • Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and other professionals.
  • Develop a strong understanding of client businesses and provide practical, business-focused legal guidance.
  • Manage multiple matters and deadlines with increasing independence while collaborating with senior attorneys and other legal professionals.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active Ohio Bar admission and good standing.
  • 3+ years of business, transactional, corporate, or commercial law experience.
  • Strong contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication abilities.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines.
  • Sound professional judgment and a strong client-service mindset.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team.
  • Experience with legal research tools and standard legal technology.
