Business Manager
Job Description
1. Business & Sales Management
• Monitor overall business performance, including revenue, student enrolment, conversion rates, retention rates and sales targets.
• Develop and execute strategies to increase student enrolment, course sales and customer retention.
• Review sales performance and follow up with the sales team on leads, trial classes, conversions and renewals.
• Analyse business data and identify opportunities to improve revenue and profitability.
• Prepare regular business performance reports for management.
• Support the development and implementation of new programmes, course packages and business initiatives.
2. Operations
• Oversee the daily operations of studio
• Ensure consistent service standards, operating procedures and customer experience across all outlets.
• Work closely with relevant team members to resolve operational issues.
• Monitor class schedules, studio utilisation, manpower allocation and operational efficiency.
• Ensure company policies and SOPs are properly implemented outlet
3. Team Management
• Lead, supervise and support Studio Manager, sales and administrative staff.
• Set clear KPIs and performance expectations for relevant team members.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback.
• Coordinate manpower planning, recruitment and onboarding when required.
• Build a responsible, efficient and results-oriented working culture.
4. Customer & Student Management
• Maintain a high standard of customer servic.
• Handle escalated customer enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally.
• Monitor student retention and identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Ensure effective communication between customers, teachers and the operations team.
5. Marketing & Business Development
• Work with the marketing team to plan enrolment campaigns, promotions and brand activities.
• Evaluate campaign results based on leads, conversions and revenue.
• Identify potential partnerships, collaborations and new business opportunities.
• Support company events, performances, workshops and other business initiatives.
6. Financial & Administrative Oversight
• Monitor outlet revenue, operating expenses and basic P&L performance.
• Assist management with budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
• Review operational expenses and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Ensure payments, records, reports and relevant administrative processes are completed accurately and on time.
Requirements
• Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Hospitality, Education or a related field.
• Preferably 10-20 years of relevant working experience, with experience in business operations, sales, retail, education, enrichment, fitness, performing arts or service industries being an advantage.
• At least 3 years of team management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Fluent in both English and Mandarin, with strong written and verbal communication skills, as the role requires regular communication with English- and Mandarin-speaking customers, employees, teachers and business partners.
• Strong business and commercial awareness.
• Proven ability to manage sales targets and drive business performance.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working with numbers, reports, KPIs and performance data.
• Able to manage multiple outlets, priorities and projects simultaneously.
• Highly responsible, organised and able to work independently.
• Customer-focused with strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace and comfortable learning business management systems.
• Able to work flexible hours when required, including selected evenings or weekends depending on business operations and events.
