Position Summary

Lone Star Logics is seeking a Business Manager / Business Developer to lead its controls group and grow its custom industrial automation business. This role is responsible for the team’s pipeline, project delivery, and profitability, while developing new customer relationships and expanding existing accounts. The initial business development focus is South Texas and the Gulf Coast.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Lead the controls group’s priorities, workload, quality, schedules, and accountability.
• Develop new accounts and expand existing relationships in oil and gas, chemical, water and wastewater, power, municipal, and related markets.
• Pursue opportunities within Ingersoll Rand companies.
• Work with customers to define control, instrumentation, and electrical needs and turn those opportunities into profitable projects.
• Coordinate Engineering, Panel Shop, Programming, and Field Service through design, build, testing, and commissioning.
• Manage pricing, margins, backlog, and on-time delivery.
• Hire, coach, and develop team members.
• Develop and execute a growth plan for custom control panels, PLC/HMI programming, packaged systems, and turnkey integration and startup.

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Distribution, Business, or equivalent experience.

Skills and Qualifications (Required)

• Seven or more years of experience selling or managing industrial controls, panel integration, or automation work.
• Demonstrated success winning new business.
• Technical knowledge of control panels, PLCs, HMIs, motor control, and field installation.
• Ability to support and foster the growth and creativity of others
• Ability to make independent decisions and communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications:

• Control system design experience.

Schedule:

• Full-Time
• May need to work outside of normal business hours as needed.

Travel: Approximately 30–50%; home most weekends

Supplemental Pay: Bonus and commission
