We are now looking for a

BUSINESS MANAGER, INFLIGHT PRODUCTS

to join our Products & Retailing team. In this role you will contribute to Finnair’s commercial strategy by managing selected inflight related ancillary service categories including seats, food & beverage and internet access. You will be part of the Products & Retailing team developing customer needs driven commercial offering that maximizes Finnair’s revenue and profitability.

In this role, you will be responsible for the general management of selected ancillary services. You will contribute to our commercial retailing strategy creation and implementation together with the team and will be responsible for creating business plans for your own categories. You will drive innovation, steer retailing development and lead business development from ideas to commercial products.

You will monitor business performance and customer experience and initiate actions in collaboration with stakeholders to optimize the profitability of total offering. You will work closely with teams across Customer and Revenue units, Digital and Operations including Inflight experience and Finnair Kitchen.

To achieve this, you will be creating insights on customers and the business to support decision making by:

  • Analyzing business performance, business opportunities, competitors, and markets.

  • Modeling customer needs and behavior (e.g., willingness to pay).

  • Developing and following KPIs to steer offer optimization.

  • Creating business cases and financial forecasts.

  • Applying customer segmentation and personalization strategies to enhance relevance and impact.

  • Utilizing customer data and journey mapping to identify opportunities.

  • Innovating and developing business ideas by co-creating with customers and stakeholders.

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who has:

  • Commercial mindset with competence in interpreting complex business problems using data.

  • Ability to create business analyses and -cases and building an understanding of consumer needs.

  • Experience in strategy, portfolio and/or product management.

  • Experience of digital service creation and development in digital environment.

  • Ability to cut through complexity to identify high impact opportunities and find simple solutions.

  • Good social and cross-organizational leadership skills.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, other languages are considered an asset.

  • Master’s degree in relevant field.

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in product/business management, business development or similar roles, preferably in consumer business environment.

  • Past experience in aviation, revenue management or digital development is considered as an advantage.
