Job Title: Business Manager

Salary: £39,780 per annum

Hours per week: 35 hours per week

Location: At IOSH, we embrace hybrid working because we believe it's the key to achieving work-life balance, strategic success and fostering our collaborative culture. You’ll be required to work from our head office in Wigston, Leicester a minimum of 2 days per week. The remainder of your working hours will be undertaken from home.

About the role
We’re looking for an experienced and driven Business Manager who is passionate about what they do to join our team. You’ll be a key driving force in creating solutions to new collaborative opportunities within the Corporate Engagement team and as such the role requires a high level of organisation, collaboration, emotional intelligence and professionalism.

You’ll have the opportunity to make your mark and lead on key projects, transforming opportunities into action plans and clear deliverables. In addition, you’ll take overall responsibility for agreeing the measures of success for each opportunity and striving to achieve them and you will have autonomy to create effective working processes.

What you'll bring

The ideal candidate will have strong commercial awareness with knowledge of the project management framework particularly within a performance driven context. You will have a working knowledge of risk management and have an understanding of maintaining risk registers. You will have strong communication and stakeholder management skills being able to build influential and collaborative relationships and ensure relevant information is shared to appropriate colleagues within the business to ensure results. You will be someone that enjoys problem solving by evaluating issues and analysing data to generate potential solutions, and help drive performance by achieving challenging goals and objectives.

Essential criteria

  • Knowledge of risk management and/or maintaining risk registers with the ability to identify, document and manage risks effectively.
  • Ability to build influential, collaborative and sustainable relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Experience of communicating issues across a wide range of audience including senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to problem solve by investigating, assessing and evaluating issues and events, generating potential solutions towards a successful outcome
  • Experience of working within complex multi-layered relationships including 3rd party distribution.
  • Experience of analysing and understanding data to inform creative solutions.
