Business Operations for Security Incident Response (SIR)

Summary

Drive operational excellence for AWS Security Incident Response by analyzing data, building scalable frameworks, and delivering insights to leadership to improve security incident handling and business performance.

About the role

You will be a key member of the Security Incident Response (SIR) team within AWS Enterprise Support, Strategy and Operations (ESSO), ensuring leadership has the necessary information to operate and execute efficiently. You will analyze initiatives, processes and provide recommendations for improvement. You will build scalable mechanisms to support business and program operation processes. You will have oral and written communication skills enabling you to dive deep into the data to find answers, and to summarize the data into a logical analysis that ensures all stakeholders are informed.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the business operations support for the AWS Security Incident Response service team, acting as a partner to service leadership on operational planning, mechanism development, stakeholder communications, program management and cross-functional coordination
  • Support rhythm of business (RoB) cadences including MBR, QBR, WBR, and OP planning by delivering data-driven insights, reporting, and operational recommendations to Security Incident Response leadership
  • Lead KPI planning and metrics transformation efforts for AWS Security Incident Response, connecting service-level metrics to AWS broader security goals and KPIs
  • Partner with BIE teams on data onboarding, migration, and sprint prioritization to ensure Security Incident Response metrics are available in AWS Support reporting platforms
  • Author requirements documentation including Pathfinder requests, business requirements documents, and narratives to drive alignment on data and dashboard initiatives
  • Support security goals across AWS Support by aligning Security Incident Response business performance measurement with organization-wide security objectives and executive reporting standards
  • Build scalable mechanisms and frameworks that enable leadership to measure operational effectiveness, identify trends, and make informed decisions
  • Leverage AI tools to drive operational efficiency and support automation for stakeholders across the security services portfolio

About you

  • 5+ years of finance, business management and sales operations experience
  • Experience developing business analytics or equivalent
  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
  • Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication. You write clearly and concisely, and you tailor your communication to the audience
  • Experience working within a high-growth, technology company
  • Experience communicating and presenting to senior leadership
