Business Operations Lead
About the company
Our client is an early-stage software company.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Serve as a trusted operating partner to the senior leadership team, taking on varied, cross-functional work that keeps priorities aligned and projects moving. The position combines operations, commercial support, partner management and financial analysis, with a path toward a wider leadership position.
What you'll do
- Manage daily operations, partner communications and pilot programs so executives can concentrate on strategy.
- Set priorities across initiatives, monitor key metrics and keep the team informed.
- Lead commercial efforts, partnership due diligence and vendor onboarding from start to finish.
- Create the financial model, board materials and analysis that inform major business decisions.
- Help shape a future executive support function, including hiring junior project staff if justified.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- 5 to 6+ years of experience, ideally pairing management consulting with hands-on operating work in a fast-growing technology company.
- Either 2 to 4 years of consulting followed by an operating role at a high-growth startup, or 5+ years in operations, strategy or founding work at a startup or scale-up.
- Experience building and scaling commercial, sales or business development operations at an early-stage B2B company.
- A record of taking unclear projects through to measurable results, with a clear account of your own personal impact.
- Time spent in a single organization leading a function through a period of growth.
- An undergraduate degree from a highly competitive university.
- Strong initiative: you identify what needs attention, act without waiting to be told and offer firm recommendations.
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach to breaking down complex issues.
- Comfort with early-stage uncertainty and a preference for equity upside over maximizing cash pay.
- Based in the Bay Area or willing to relocate, and able to work in the office full time.

- Regular use of AI tools to automate and enhance daily work.
