Business Partner, Talent Acquisition

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Partner, Talent Acquisition based in Canada.

As a strategic Talent Acquisition Partner, you will help shape the workforce of a fast-growing technology organization.
You will work closely with leaders to understand business priorities, anticipate hiring needs, and build proactive talent strategies.
The role spans technical, cloud, cybersecurity, sales, leadership, and corporate recruitment across a diverse range of functions.
You will combine creative sourcing, market intelligence, candidate assessment, and stakeholder influence to identify exceptional talent.
Beyond filling positions, you will build long-term talent pipelines and contribute to employer branding and recruitment innovation.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the full recruitment lifecycle across technical, cloud, cybersecurity, sales, pre-sales, leadership, and corporate positions.
  • Partner with hiring managers and organizational leaders to understand business objectives, anticipate workforce needs, and develop effective hiring strategies.
  • Serve as a trusted talent advisor by providing market intelligence, candidate insights, and recommendations to support informed hiring decisions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with active and passive candidates, developing talent pipelines and communities for both immediate and future hiring needs.
  • Design creative sourcing strategies using targeted networking, referrals, specialized technology communities, professional associations, industry events, social media, and other channels.
  • Develop talent maps across competitors and adjacent industries to identify transferable and hard-to-find profiles.
  • Assess candidates based on skills, experience, potential, and organizational alignment while maintaining a high-quality candidate experience.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders throughout interviews and hiring decisions, providing guidance and ensuring alignment with recruitment objectives.
  • Contribute to employer branding initiatives, candidate engagement campaigns, and storytelling strategies that strengthen the organization's position in competitive talent markets.
  • Analyze recruiting metrics, market trends, and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities to improve recruitment effectiveness.
  • Identify and implement new sourcing channels, technologies, processes, and best practices to modernize and streamline talent acquisition.
  • Build strong relationships across the organization through professionalism, curiosity, authenticity, and proactive communication.
  • Requirements:

    • 5–10 years of professional recruitment or Talent Acquisition experience, ideally within technology, SaaS, cloud, cybersecurity, or another high-growth environment.
    • Demonstrated experience recruiting across multiple disciplines, including technical, sales, pre-sales, leadership, and corporate functions.
    • Strong proactive sourcing capabilities, with proven success engaging passive candidates and building talent pipelines beyond inbound applications.
    • Excellent interviewing and candidate assessment skills, with the ability to evaluate technical expertise, experience, potential, and organizational alignment.
    • Strong business acumen and the ability to translate organizational priorities into effective recruitment strategies.
    • Demonstrated ability to influence, advise, and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders and hiring managers.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present market insights and recommendations clearly.
    • Creativity, resourcefulness, curiosity, and a continuous-improvement mindset, particularly when solving challenging talent acquisition problems.
    • Strong commitment to candidate experience and interest in employer branding and talent engagement.
    • Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly and multiple searches may be managed simultaneously.
    • Comfortable working primarily remotely while remaining available to attend the office periodically for meetings, team events, training, or other business needs.
