Business Process & Systems Advisor
The Opportunity
MidCoast Council is seeking a Business Improvement Specialist to support the successful adoption of our new TechnologyOne Property and Rating system within Development Assessment, Compliance & Certification Services.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in improving how we work by bringing together people, processes and technology. Working closely with operational teams, managers and technical specialists, you'll help embed new ways of working, develop practical business procedures and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency and service delivery.

In this role, you will:- Facilitate business process mapping workshops with operational teams.
- Develop clear, practical process documentation and procedure manuals.
- Translate system functionality into sustainable day-to-day business practices.
- Identify process gaps, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Support the implementation and ongoing optimisation of Council's TechnologyOne Property and Rating system.
- Work closely with subject matter experts throughout User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and post go-live activities.
- Contribute to training materials and onboarding resources.
- Assist teams to understand, adopt and embed new ways of working.
- Partner with the Solutions Team to prioritise and document ongoing system and process improvements.
- Help establish a strong foundation for continuous business improvement across the service.
- A Business Analyst qualification or relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst with a strong people and process focus.
- Experience in end-to-end process mapping and procedure development.
- Experience supporting system implementations or business transformation initiatives.
- Excellent facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Outstanding written communication skills with the ability to produce clear operational procedures.
- The ability to build productive relationships across business and technical teams.
Salary: Commencing salary circa $98,300 - $108,000p.a. plus superannuation. (dependent on skills and experience)
Location: This position will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
Tenure: Fixed Term (12 months), Full Time
