Business & Reporting Analyst
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Actuarial Business Manager, the Business and Reporting Analyst supports the performance management, governance, and operational effectiveness of the MBPS Actuarial function. The role helps deliver key initiatives, improve reporting and business processes, and provide analytical support for planning, implementation, and continuous improvement projects.
Established in 2012, MBPS Actuarial has grown into a global center of excellence with over 200 professionals supporting Valuation, Asset & Liability Modelling, Experience Analytics, Pricing, and other core actuarial services.

Position Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders and decision-makers to deliver departmental strategic initiatives
Monitor progress of key strategies and initiatives; identify and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies
Perform governance reporting, headcount analysis, and seat optimization
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness
Develop tools and processes to support planning, reporting, and decision-making
Serve as a point of contact for MBPS-wide initiatives and governance forums
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field
Experience delivering value-added business or process solutions
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (functions, formulas, data analysis)
Strong ability to analyze, document, and challenge data, processes, and workflows
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to work effectively in a team setting
Preferred Qualifications
At least 2 years of experience in financial services or operations (middle/back office)
Experience supporting process, technology, data, or reporting solutions
Understanding of data governance and data management practices
Ability to manage projects end-to-end
Experience with MS Visio, MS Project, and Power BI
Working knowledge of SQL, R, or Python
LOMA Level 1 certification is a plus.
