About the role
Sarah Cobbett Occupational Therapy is seeking a skilled Programmer to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in Cebu City, Cebu, Philippines. As a Programmer, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining software applications that support our business operations. This role is crucial in ensuring that our technological infrastructure enables us to deliver exceptional care and services to our clients.
Key responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement software applications and systems to support occupational therapy operations and client management
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices and coding standards
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to identify and resolve technical issues
Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Maintain and update existing software systems to ensure optimal performance and security
Implement data management solutions that comply with healthcare privacy and security regulations
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users
Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes
What we're looking for
Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, C++, or JavaScript
Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and object-oriented programming
Experience with database design and management (SQL or NoSQL databases)
Knowledge of web development frameworks and technologies
Experience with version control systems such as Git
Familiarity with software testing methodologies and quality assurance practices
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Preferably, experience in healthcare or related industry applications
Understanding of data security and privacy compliance requirements
Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience
