Business System Analyst
Summary
Analyzes and documents banking system requirements, supports Core Banking CASA processes, and collaborates with teams to implement Oracle FLEXCUBE solutions in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyse, and document business and system requirements.
- Conduct workshops and stakeholder discussions to understand business needs.
- Prepare functional specifications, process flows, user stories, and use cases.
- Analyse impacts, identify risks, and recommend suitable solutions.
- Support Core Banking CASA processes, including account onboarding, maintenance, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments, interest, fees, overdrafts, GL postings, reconciliation, and regulatory reporting.
- Work with developers, architects, and vendors to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
- Support Oracle FLEXCUBE configuration, parameterisation, data mapping, and interface design.
- Prepare and review SIT/UAT test scenarios and test cases.
- Support defect resolution, data validation, migration, reconciliation, production deployment, and post-go-live activities.
- Collaborate with business, operations, finance, compliance, technology teams, and vendors.
- Track requirements, risks, issues, project progress, and obtain business sign-offs.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst within the banking industry.
- Experience in Core Banking, CASA, Deposit Systems, or Retail Banking implementation projects.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle FLEXCUBE.
- Strong knowledge of CASA products, deposit systems, Accounting & General Ledger (GL) code mapping, transaction processing, and banking interfaces.
- Experience in requirements gathering, functional specifications, process mapping, system integration, data migration, SIT & UAT, and production deployment.
- Knowledge of SQL, APIs, data mapping, and system interfaces.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Understanding of banking regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
