Business System Analyst (Contract)

We are seeking an experienced Business System Analyst to support the implementation and enhancement of enterprise application systems, including a large-scale Ticketing System project. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to drive business analysis, requirements management, system implementation, and solution delivery.

This role requires strong business analysis, documentation, stakeholder management, and communication skills, as well as sufficient technical knowledge to effectively engage with technical teams and vendors. Experience in enterprise application implementation projects is essential. Prior experience in ticketing systems is advantageous but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business users, IT teams, and vendors to gather, analyse, validate, and document business and system requirements.

• Analyse business processes, identify gaps and improvement opportunities, and propose effective system solutions.

• Prepare business and functional documentation, including requirements specifications, process flows, use cases, and other project deliverables.

• Translate business requirements into clear and actionable functional requirements for technical teams and vendors.

• Facilitate workshops, meetings, and requirement review sessions with stakeholders to achieve alignment on proposed solutions.

• Coordinate with vendors and project teams throughout the project lifecycle to ensure timely and quality delivery.

• Support system implementation activities, including solution review, System Integration Testing (SIT), interface validation, defect management, deployment, and production rollout.

• Liaise with application, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and other technical teams to support system integrations and delivery activities.

• Monitor project progress, risks, and issues, and provide regular updates to stakeholders and management.

• Ensure project deliverables comply with organizational governance, security, and quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 5 years of Business Analyst or Business System Analyst experience in system implementation or application projects.

• Proven experience in enterprise application, business systems, digital transformation, or system enhancement projects.

• Strong experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, functional specification preparation, stakeholder management, and business documentation.

• Hands-on experience in documenting business processes, workflows, system flows, use cases, and data flow diagrams.

• Demonstrated ability to prepare clear, concise, and professional business documents for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including business users, IT teams, cybersecurity teams, and external vendors.

• Strong technical understanding of enterprise applications, system integrations, interfaces, data flows, and solution architecture concepts.

• Ability to understand technical specifications and effectively communicate with technical teams and vendors.

• Knowledge of system integration, APIs, and application support processes.

• Experience supporting system testing activities, including SIT, defect tracking, and production rollout.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese, with proven ability to produce high-quality business requirements, functional specifications and project documentation.
