Business Systems Analyst (Insurance or Banking) - Start ASAP!
Salary: ₱65,000 – ₱95,000 per month
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst with at least 3 years of relevant experience in the banking or insurance industry to analyze business requirements, assess existing systems and processes, and translate business needs into functional and technical solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and project managers to support system enhancements, process improvements, and the successful delivery of technology initiatives.
Key responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, functional specifications, and system requirements.
Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to understand business processes, operational needs, and system gaps.
Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and user stories for technical teams.
Analyze existing systems and workflows to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
Collaborate with developers, QA teams, project managers, and business stakeholders to ensure requirements are properly implemented.
Prepare process flows, use cases, business requirement documents (BRDs), and functional requirement documents (FRDs).
Support system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), defect tracking, and issue resolution.
Ensure system solutions align with business objectives, operational policies, and applicable banking or insurance regulations.
Monitor project progress, manage requirement changes, and maintain clear documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
About you
At least 3 years of solid experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or in a similar role.
Experience in the banking or insurance industry is required.
Strong background in requirements gathering, business process analysis, and functional documentation.
Experience preparing BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, and process flow diagrams.
Familiarity with SDLC methodologies, Agile/Scrum, and Waterfall project environments.
Experience supporting UAT, system integration testing (SIT), and coordination with technical teams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to translate business requirements into clear and actionable technical specifications.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Experience with Jira, Confluence, Visio, or similar business analysis tools is an advantage.
