Business Systems Analyst
Summary
Business Systems Analyst in Bonifacio Global City focused on data governance: gathers and documents business/data requirements, supports governance frameworks, monitors data quality, and maintains data catalogs, metadata, and lineage while bridging business and technical teams. SQL and tools like Collibra, Alation, Informatica, and Microsoft Purview are pluses.
Salary: ₱80,000 – ₱110,000 per month
Key Responsibilities
Gather and analyze business requirements related to data governance and data management initiatives.
Collaborate with business, IT, data, and governance stakeholders to define and document data requirements.
Support the development and implementation of Data Governance frameworks, policies, standards, and processes.
Analyze and monitor data quality, identifying issues, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
Define and document data quality rules, business rules, and data validation requirements.
Support the maintenance and management of Data Catalogs, Metadata, and Data Lineage.
Document data definitions, data elements, business terms, ownership, and relationships.
Work with technical teams to understand data flows, source systems, transformations, and downstream impacts.
Assist in identifying and resolving data governance and data quality issues.
Prepare business and technical documentation, process flows, requirements, and reports.
Participate in data-related projects, system enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
Facilitate communication between business stakeholders, data teams, and technical teams to ensure alignment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Data Management, or a related field.
Experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, Data Governance Analyst, or similar role.
Strong understanding of Data Governance concepts and principles.
Experience with Data Quality Management and data validation.
Knowledge of Data Catalog, Metadata Management, and Data Lineage.
Strong requirements gathering, business process analysis, and documentation skills.
Ability to translate business requirements into clear technical/data requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.
Preferred Skills
Experience with data governance or data management tools such as Collibra, Alation, Informatica, Microsoft Purview, or similar platforms.
Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
Experience with data mapping and data flow documentation.
Understanding of data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Experience with Jira, Confluence, Visio, or similar documentation/project management tools.
