Job Summary:
At Silencer Central, we are driven by a commitment to being customer-oriented, getting things done, and expecting excellence in everything we do.

The role of the Business Systems Analyst (BSA) bridges business needs and the systems that meet them — managing the business requirements for projects or participating as part of a team on large or complex projects, while also configuring and supporting the business systems that deliver those requirements.

The BSA role works with business stakeholders to understand and analyze objectives, underlying issues, and business case, and to facilitate scoping and business prioritization. It investigates business needs, problems, and opportunities, consulting stakeholders as appropriate. The BSA owns and manages functional and nonfunctional business requirements, ensuring traceability across stakeholders, and then translates those requirements into system configuration, working within the shared standards of the product/platform model. The BSA analyzes requirements to ensure they are fit for purpose, adhere to business objectives and platform consistency, and challenges positively as appropriate. Provides input to test analysts on (in particular non-functional) requirements to be covered in test cases, and validates that configured solutions meet the agreed requirements.

Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

• Translates approved business requirements into system configuration and tests changes before release.
• Partners with platform and vertical teams so configurations align with shared architecture, integrations, and governance rather than creating one-off solutions.
• Maintains documentation of system configurations, business rules, and change history.
• Supports the project manager in planning, monitoring, and executing projects.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, information systems, or a related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis or business systems analysis required.

• Teamwork — Knowledge of the necessity and value of teamwork; experience with and ability to participate effectively as part of a team.
• Exceptional ability to position and “sell” solutions that are reasonable, actionable, and cost-effective, including the ability to properly gauge the requirements and “plug” the appropriate solution.
• Forward-thinking and resourceful to skirt red tape and ensure solutions are brought to fruition and requirements are closed properly.
• Ability to problem solve and apply methodologies such as Unified Modeling Language and Rational Unified Process, to prepare detailed specifications using case statements and related documentation.
• People skills, with the ability to engage diplomatically with stakeholders and communicate changes that may not be aligned with the original expectations.
