Business Systems Analyst

Summary

Analyzes and improves business processes using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, gathering requirements and supporting ERP enhancements for Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations teams.

Summary

The Business Systems Analyst partners with users across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Project Management and Operations to identify opportunities for process improvement, optimize the use of business systems, troubleshoot issues, and support strategic technology initiatives. This position is responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements, evaluating solutions, supporting system enhancements, and ensuring business applications effectively meet organizational needs.

The ideal candidate combines strong business process knowledge with technical aptitude and enjoys working in a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement, operational excellence, and customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promote PlayCore's mission, vision, and values through dedicated support of enterprise business applications, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O).
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for business users across Finance, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and other functional areas.
  • Analyze business processes and recommend system-based solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and user experience.
  • Gather, document, and validate business requirements for system enhancements, integrations, reports, and new functionality.
  • Collaborate with internal IT teams, software vendors, and implementation partners to design and deliver effective solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to increase utilization, adoption, and effectiveness of business applications.
  • Create functional specifications, process flows, and other documentation to support development and implementation efforts.
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate system changes and ensure successful deployment of enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues while providing timely support and guidance to end users.
  • Create and maintain training materials, process documentation, and user guides.
  • Support reporting, data analysis, and business intelligence initiatives through data extraction, validation, and reporting tools.
  • Participate in application upgrades, system implementations, process improvement projects, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Assist with change management activities, including communication, training, and user adoption efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting ERP or enterprise business systems.
  • Experience working with business processes related to Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Warehousing, or Operations.
  • Experience gathering business requirements, documenting processes, and supporting system enhancements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O).
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or distribution environments.
  • Experience with financial reporting and accounting processes.
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence tools.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience participating in ERP implementations, upgrades, or application support teams.
  • Exposure to formal project management methodologies.

Technical Skills

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (preferred)
  • SQL querying and database concepts
  • Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate) preferred
  • Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills
  • Business process analysis and documentation
  • Testing and quality assurance methodologies

Travel Expectations

This position may require occasional travel to PlayCore locations to support business initiatives, application deployments, user training, and project activities. Travel requirements will vary based on business needs and active projects but are generally expected to average 1-2 weeks every other month, with flexibility depending on project priorities and operational demands.
